The Reeperbahn Festival, one of Europe's leading music events, is set to return to Hamburg, Germany from September 17th to 20th. Among the highlights of this year's event is the Anchor Award, a newcomer award for six bands or solo artists, with a distinguished jury to decide the winner.

This year's Anchor Award jury consists of an eclectic mix of music industry professionals, each bringing their unique expertise to the table.

Tayla Parx, a singer and entrepreneur, will be lending her insights to the jury. Known for her work with artists like Max Martin, Ariana Grande, and Janelle Monáe, Parx is a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.

Bazzazian, a renowned hip-hop producer, is also a member of the jury. With a career spanning over two decades, Bazzazian has worked with various artists and produced numerous chart-topping tracks.

Max Giesinger, a German pop artist and TV juror, will also be part of the jury. Giesinger, who has sold over 2 million records, is a household name in Germany and will undoubtedly bring a wealth of knowledge to the table.

Joining the jury is Laurie Anderson, a performance artist from New York. Anderson, who has worked with the likes of Peter Gabriel, Philip Glass, John Cage, and her late husband Lou Reed, is a true pioneer in the world of experimental music. Anderson will perform at the Elbphilharmonie on October 30th, following the festival.

Suzi Quatro, a rock veteran, is another member of the jury. Quatro, who rose to fame in the 1970s with hits like "Can the Can" and "Devil Gate Drive," brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the music industry.

Tony Visconti, who has worked with T. Rex and David Bowie, was a member of the Reeperbahn Festival jury for several years. Visconti's extensive experience in the music industry, spanning over five decades, will be invaluable to the jury.

The jury will watch the respective concerts of the candidates during the festival, and the winner of the Anchor Award will be announced on the last day, September 20th.

Among the participants for the Anchor Award this year are Cara Rose, a British soul singer, Soft Loft, a Swiss band featuring singer Jorina Stamm, Mei Semones, an American indie-folk musician, Carpetman, an Ukrainian rapper, and RIP Magic, an experimental British electro duo.

Jazz singer Sorvina is also among the participants.
