Prepare for an unforgettable weekend as the Parookaville Festival 2021 is set to take place at Weeze Airport, transforming the location into a vibrant "City of Dreams." This year's edition marks the tenth anniversary of the festival, which has rapidly grown to become the largest gathering for electronic music in Germany.

The festival, named after its fictional founder, Bill Parooka, offers more than just music. It immerses attendees in a unique experience, with a thematic city design that includes distinct districts such as the Upper Westside and Theatre District. These areas offer varied atmospheres and stages within the festival grounds.

The main attraction, the massive Mainstage, features a gigantically designed centrepiece that changes every year, serving as the focal point for performances by top electronic artists like Afrojack, Alok, Armin van Buuren, Artbat, Felix Jaehn, Robin Schulz, James Hype, W&W, Meduza, and Topic.

For those seeking a more nostalgic experience, the Memory Stage is introduced for anniversaries and special occasions, celebrating past favourites and the festival's history. Meanwhile, a party stage with a different kind of music features acts like Blumchen, Mia Julia, and Roberto Blanco.

Away from the main acts, some stages are intentionally hidden to allow smaller concerts to take place. Visitors can also cool off in a 700 square meter pool on the festival grounds.

The festival's creative integration of music, immersive environments, and community has earned it a reputation as more than just a festival but a full cultural destination for electronic music fans. Other features include a peaceful city forest away from the stages, a "jail" for tattoos or piercings, and a livestream expected to reach several million online viewers.

This year, the tenth anniversary will be celebrated with a show of light, laser, fireworks, and a large drone show on Sunday evening. A couple from Essen is among those planning to get married at the festival this year, with entertainer Roberto Blanco set to be the witness.

With over 225,000 people expected to attend, the festival has always been sold out since the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the limited information available for 2021, past editions have shown that Parookaville is a must-visit for any electronic music lover.

The Commission might propose a directive on environmental protection, considering the success of the Parookaville Festival in creating immersive environmental experiences beyond just music. On the symbolic tenth anniversary, a newlywed couple plans to seal their vows at the festival, adding an element of entertainment to its already bustling atmosphere.
