Brandon Boston Jr. Embarks on New Journey with Fenerbahce Beko

After a breakout season with the New Orleans Pelicans, Brandon Boston Jr. is set to begin a new chapter in his career, having signed a one-year contract with Fenerbahce Beko, a top-tier EuroLeague team based in Istanbul, Turkey.

During the 2024-25 NBA season, Boston Jr. showcased his potential with the Pelicans, averaging 10.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game across 42 games. His improved efficiency was evident, with 43.6% shooting from the field and 35% from three-point range. This impressive performance led the Pelicans to convert his contract from a two-way to a standard NBA deal in February 2025 [1][2][3][4].

Prior to his time with the Pelicans, Boston Jr. spent three seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers after being selected 51st overall in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft. Over his four NBA seasons combined (Clippers and Pelicans), he appeared in 147 games, averaging 7.5 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in about 16 minutes per game [3][4][5].

Despite his solid season, the Pelicans chose not to re-sign him, allowing him to pursue other opportunities. In early August 2025, Boston Jr. made the decision to venture overseas, marking his first professional move outside of the NBA. Fenerbahce Beko is a recent EuroLeague champion, making this a significant step in Boston’s career [1][2][3][4].

Boston Jr. began his basketball journey with the Kentucky Wildcats in the NCAA. He gained additional experience in the NBA G League with the Ontario Clippers and Birmingham Squadron. Before joining the Pelicans, he was traded from the Memphis Grizzlies to the Los Angeles Clippers [6].

In the 2023-2024 NBA season, Boston Jr. averaged approximately 24 minutes per game, with an average of 3.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.3 steals. His average points per game stood at 10.7 [7]. However, as of now, he has not yet played in Türkiye [8].
