Get ready for some top-tier action! The women's team at 1. FC Union Berlin has snatched up an exciting new addition to their lineup for their debut season in the Bundesliga. Nadine Böhi, a 21-year-old phenom from sunny Switzerland, is joining the Union women's ranks, moving over from FC St. Gallen.

According to Union's pro football managing director, Jennifer Zietz, Böhi is a "talented and versatile goalkeeper who's shown maturity beyond her years." A look at her impressive career so far confirms Zietz's high praise – Böhi has been tending nets at St. Gallen since 2016, and at just 16, she made her debut in the Swiss women's premier league. Since then, she's racked up a staggering 56 appearances in the top flight before biting the bullet and making the move to Germany.

Though she's yet to play for the Swiss national team, Böhi's been training with them for close to a year. According to data, she ranks as the third string 'keeper in the national setup, although she's yet to suit up for an international match.

  1. As Böhi's football career continues to flourish, it might not be long before she receives a call-up to the European-leagues, demonstrating the potential for vocational training in sports like football to propel individuals to international success.
  2. In her spare time, Nadine Böhi might consider enrolling in a community policy course, as her new vocational training as a professional footballer in Berlin could open up opportunities to contribute to the city's sports programs and initiatives.
