In a closely contested match, Iasmin Lucindo emerged victorious over Angela Hill at UFC Vegas 109, marking a significant moment in UFC history. Hill's defeat by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) saw her break her own record for the most losses in UFC competition, bringing her total to 15.

Hill, ranked 12th in the UFC women's strawweight rankings, entered the ring for her 28th UFC fight. Despite the loss, Hill showcased her resilience throughout the full 15-minute three-round distance.

Lucindo, who was born when Hill was 17, expressed respect for Hill and admiration for her career and the story she has built. However, she was initially baffled by the age discrepancy between them. The Brazilian fighter revealed that she had watched Hill fight before she joined the UFC.

Meanwhile, Lucindo's victory places her among the top UFC fighters with a notable number of wins. Jim Miller, with 46 losses, still leads all categories for the most losses in UFC history, followed by a handful of fighters in the mid-30s to low-30s loss range across various divisions.

Other notable fighters with high numbers of losses include Rafael Dos Anjos (36 losses), Jeremy Stephens (35), Charles Oliveira (35), and Neil Magny (35). Fighters with 30+ losses include Clay Guida (30), Jeremy Stephens (35), Dustin Poirier (32), Michael Johnson (31), and Derrick Lewis (30).

In the lightweight division, Jim Miller also holds the record for the most fights, with 43, while fighters with 23 losses in this division include Donald Cerrone, Charles Oliveira, Edson Barboza, among others.

Prior to her match with Lucindo, Hill had won against Ketlen Souza in February. However, her defeat at UFC Vegas 109 ties her with 'Overkill' and Michael Johnson for the most UFC defeats by a veteran from 'The Ultimate Fighter', with 15 losses. Interestingly, Hill has suffered 13 of her 15 career losses by decision.

In other matches at UFC Vegas 109, Elijah Smith knocked out Toshiomi Kazama with a wild powerbomb, Gabriella Fernandes defeated Julija Stoliarenko via unanimous decision, and Uroš Medić defeated Gilbert Urbina via KO.

As Hill officially holds the record for the most losses in the UFC, her journey continues to be a testament to her resilience and dedication to the sport. Despite the setback, fans can expect Hill to bounce back and continue to make her mark in the UFC.

Hill's UFC record-breaking loss to Iasmin Lucindo came in the form of a unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28), marking her 28th UFC fight and the 15th loss of her career. In football terms, Hill has experienced more defeats than most teams do in an entire season, but her resilience shone through as she fought the full 15-minute, three-round distance. Meanwhile, Lucindo, born when Hill was 17, has entered the ranks of notable UFC winners, joining the likes of Jim Miller, Rafael Dos Anjos, Jeremy Stephens, Charles Oliveira, Neil Magny, Clay Guida, Dustin Poirier, Michael Johnson, and Derrick Lewis - all of whom have also experienced multiple losses in their careers. Though Hill now holds the record for the most losses in the UFC, her journey continues to embody sportsmanship and determination.
