Mick Schumacher, the 20-year-old son of Formula One legend and seven-time champion Michael Schumacher, scored the second-fastest time during the official Bahrain test, trailing only Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing. Schumacher was signed by Ferrari's Development Academy at the beginning of the year and felt right at home in the famous red car.

"I'm really happy today," Schumacher remarked on Ferrari's official website. "From the very beginning, it felt like being in a garage with people who've known me since I was a kid."

Impressed by the Ferrari SF90's performance, power delivery, and braking ability, Schumacher observed that "it feels like you can brake later and the car still turns."

Fresh from winning the Formula 3 Championship and making his debut in Formula 2 at the previous weekend, Schumacher is also set to test Alfa Romeo's F1 car on Wednesday. While Michael Schumacher might have been anointed with the nickname 'Red Baron,' Mick is carving out his own legacy in the world of motorsports.

Mick demonstrated impressive skills during his first test with Ferrari, earning recognition as a promising talent in the 'king's sport.'
