In the picturesque town of Urdenbach, residents and caregivers from various Lebenshilfe residential groups gathered at Piels Loch at 11 AM, ready to embark on the annual #TUESrun. This event, now in its sixth year, is organised through the Urdenbacher Kampe nature reserve and is part of the initiatives by DUS | Live e.V., a registered non-profit association known for its community-focused activities.

The #TUESrun is not a competition, allowing each participant to complete the 5.5-kilometer route at their own pace. The goal for this year is to complete a total of 55 kilometers, or ten rounds with different participants. Over 30 runners have registered for the event, and a 1.2-kilometer course was set up for approximately 30 Lebenshilfe participants.

The #TUESmovement, the driving force behind the run, encourages people to engage socially in various projects under the motto "Be the change you dream of". This year, the run was organised by a club with the motto "#TUES & run for more than just yourself!".

Before the first start at 6 AM, a group photo was taken, capturing the joy and camaraderie of all participants. At the finish line, everyone celebrated together, marking another successful year for the #TUESrun.

Each participating runner has sponsors who are willing to donate for each round run. Since 2023, the donations from the #TUESrun have been benefiting Lebenshilfe Düsseldorf e.V., an organisation that supports people with disabilities.

Other projects by DUS | Live e.V. include a children's music festival, coaching in schools, Christmas actions for the homeless, or helping with waste collection. More information and contact details can be found on their website (https://www.duslive.de/tues/).

The #TUESrun2025 is more than just a run; it's a testament to the power of community and the spirit of giving. It's a reminder that everyone, regardless of ability, can make a difference and contribute to positive change in their city.

The #TUESrun is designed for participants to run at their own pace, making it more of a social gathering than a competition. This annual event, now in its sixth year, encourages people to engage in various projects, fostering a spirit of giving and collective effort, as illustrated by the motto "#TUES & run for more than just yourself!".

Despite not being a competition, the #TUESrun has a goal to complete a total of 55 kilometers, with each completed round contributing to donations for Lebenshilfe Düsseldorf e.V., an organization that supports people with disabilities, demonstrating the powerful role sports can play in promoting unity and raising funds for worthy causes.
