Federal law enforcement has carried out an arrest, imprisoning a 24-year-old individual for a duration of 31 days, as per a federal warrant issued by BPOLI MD.
In a series of events, a 24-year-old Syrian national has been arrested at Halle (Saale) Central Station on July 22, 2025. The arrest was made by the Federal Police, who were informed about a theft incident at the station that occurred at 14:10 that day.
The suspect, who was sought by the Bamberg public prosecutor's office, was found at the scene along with witnesses. The officers served an enforcement warrant issued by the State Prosecutor's Office in Bamberg in February 2025 due to unpaid fines from a previous case. The suspect was sentenced in January 2023 by the District Court in Bamberg for misuse of identification documents, for which he was fined 400 euros or 40 days' imprisonment.
However, the suspect could not pay the outstanding amount of 310 euros, and as a result, he was currently being held in a detention facility to serve the remaining 31 days of his sentence. After completing necessary procedures, the suspect was taken to the detention facility following his arrest at Halle (Saale) Central Station.
It is important to note that the 24-year-old sought by the Bamberg public prosecutor's office and arrested in Halle in July 2025 is not explicitly named in the available search results.
