Federal law enforcement carried out an arrest warrant, ordering a 28-year-old individual's detention for a duration of 83 days, as decreed by the authority of BPOLI MD.
In an unusual turn of events, a 28-year-old German citizen was taken into custody by the Federal Police on September 13, 2025, at Stendal Central Station. The individual, whose identity and place of origin remain undisclosed in publicly available sources, was wanted by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Wuppertal with two arrest warrants.
The incident began at 4:49 AM during a routine ticket control. The individual could not present a valid ticket or identification document, leading to the execution of an arrest warrant and an 83-day jail sentence. The first arrest warrant was issued in April 2025, with a fine of 720 euros or 48 days' imprisonment, while the second was issued in July 2025, carrying a fine of 1260 euros or 35 days' imprisonment.
During the arrest, the Federal Police officers also filed another criminal complaint against the individual for fraudulently obtaining benefits during his current journey without a required ticket. This action was a result of the individual's previous conviction for fraudulently obtaining benefits, for which both arrest warrants were issued.
