FCBayern Munich signs national player Tah as a new recruit
Bayern Munich have officially confirmed the signing of national defender Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen. The 29-year-old will wear the number 4 and has penned a deal running until 2029.
The German champions revealed the news on Thursday, seeing Tah join them following the refusal of his former teammate Florian Wirtz. Previous attempts to secure Tah in the summer of 2021 were unsuccessful due to transfer fee negotiations.
Sports director Max Eberl expressed his admiration for Tah, stating that he is a responsible player who embodies qualities that Holland coach Vincent Kompany desires in his squad.
The transfer comes without an immediate fee, although discussions are ongoing regarding an early release from Tah's contract at Leverkusen before June 30. Bayern wish to bring Tah to the Club World Cup in the USA, set to take place from June 15.
