FC Zurich welcomes back Ercüment Sahin as new assistant coach

FC Zurich has welcomed a familiar face to their coaching staff. Ercüment Sahin, a former player, has returned to the club as the new assistant coach, supporting head coach Dennis Hediger.

Sahin, who played for FC Zurich from 1987 to 1991 and again from 1993 to 1995, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge about the club. His return comes as FC Zurich has extended Hediger's contract as interim manager until the end of 2025.

Hediger, who will continue to lead the team, expressed his delight in working alongside Sahin once again. The duo previously collaborated during Sahin's playing days at the club. Sahin's appointment is expected to strengthen the coaching team and help FC Zurich achieve their goals in the upcoming season.

FC Zurich's decision to hire Ercüment Sahin as assistant coach is a strategic move that combines experience and familiarity. With Hediger at the helm until the end of 2025, the team looks forward to a season guided by a cohesive coaching team.
