FC Vaduz Secures First Away Win in Challenge League

FC Vaduz secured their first away victory of the season with a 2:0 win over Wil in the Challenge League. The match, held at the Lego Arena, saw FC Vaduz's Mats Hammerich and Ayo Akinola score the winning goals. The game started with FC Vaduz applying high pressure, dominating Wil's half early on. However, Ayo Akinola missed an early chance in the 5th minute, hitting the crossbar. Despite this, FC Vaduz regained control after the break, playing with a calmer approach and consistent game build-up. The home team, Wil, struggled to create clear chances in the first half, lacking determination for a goal. FC Vaduz, on the other hand, opened the scoring in the 60th minute through Mats Hammerich, his first goal of the season. Ayo Akinola then scored his goal debut in the 81st minute, securing the 2:0 victory. FC Vaduz will next play at home against Étoile Carouge FC on October 26, 2025, at 2 pm in the Rheinpark Stadium. Their first away victory of the season, achieved with goals from Mats Hammerich and Ayo Akinola, is a significant boost for the team's morale and standing in the Challenge League.
