FC St. Pauli's relegation fight worsens as Eric Smith suffers calf injury

FC St. Pauli will face their next Bundesliga challenge without defender Eric Smith. The 29-year-old has withdrawn from the squad due to a calf injury, leaving the team short of options in defence. Currently 16th in the league, the club is battling to avoid relegation. Smith's injury comes at a difficult time for the Hamburg-based side.
