FC Krasnodar holds RPL lead after dominant Round 21 performance

FC Krasnodar has maintained its lead in the Russian Premier League (RPL) after a strong performance in Round 21. The team sits at the top of the table with 46 points, while Zenit trails behind with 42 points and a game in hand. Statistics from RUSTAT highlight the club's dominance in key areas this season.

RUSTAT, a Telegram channel specialising in football analytics, released its Round 21 review of the RPL. FC Krasnodar ranked first in three categories: technical-tactical actions, expected goals, and shots on target. Their consistency has kept them ahead of rivals like Zenit.

The team secured a 2–1 away win against FC Sochi in Round 21. Eduard Spertsyan scored both goals, sealing the victory. Meanwhile, striker John Córdoba played a crucial role, executing nine effective plays during the match. Córdoba's contributions this season have been significant. He has made 28 appearances for Krasnodar, scoring 13 goals and providing six assists. His performance in the opponent's penalty area earned him the title of standout player in Round 21.
