Get ready Violets fans, because FC Erzgebirge Aue is shaking things up! The third-tier team announced the addition of Moritz Seiffert, who'll be joining from league rivals, FC Ingolstadt. The 24-year-old left-back is their sixth new recruit and the second one hailing from Ingolstadt, following the arrival of Ryan Malone.
Born in Bremen, Seiffert started his youth career in Jeddeloh before moving on to FC St. Pauli. In 2020, he made his way to Viktoria Berlin, where he helped the team clinch promotion to the 3. Liga. Come summer 2023, he found himself at Ingolstadt. Unfortunately, things didn't quite pan out last season, with Seiffert managing a mere 269 minutes of league play. But, he expresses his gratitude for this fresh opportunity, acknowledging the faith FC Erzgebirge Aue has shown in him: "I'm extremely grateful for the trust the decision-makers are bestowing upon me."
