FC Copenhagen Faces Borussia Dortmund in Champions League

FC Copenhagen will face Borussia Dortmund (BVB) in the Champions League on October 21, with Jacob Neestrup, who has led Copenhagen to two league titles and two Danish Cups since 2022, at the helm. BVB secured a 4:1 victory against Athletic Bilbao in their home debut, with Daniel Svensson scoring the opener and making a crucial save.

In the Bundesliga, BVB will host RB Leipzig on Saturday, having collected 4 points from their first two league games. Coach Niko Kovac rotated half the starting lineup for the Bilbao match, reintroducing top scorer Serhou Guirassy and fielding Niklas Süle for his first appearance since the Club World Cup. BVB controlled the game against Bilbao for much of the time but faced nervous moments after Bilbao equalized. Carney Chukwuemeka, Julian Brandt, and Gorka Guruzeta also found the net in the match.

BVB's victory over Bilbao in the Champions League was a turnaround from their previous 4:4 draw against Juventus Turin. With the game against Copenhagen approaching, BVB will look to maintain their form and secure another win.
