Inside Word

FC Bayern's latest acquisition, Michael Olise, has been setting stem-winder records since joining the Munich giants in 2024. The explosive winger is now worth a whopping 100 million Euros, according to Transfermarkt.de, a staggering increase from his initial 55 million Euros valued price tag at Crystal Palace.

A Quick Climb for the Dynamic Winger

Theviously market value of the French national player was estimated at 80 million Euros. Olise, now 23, has increased his market value by a whopping 25 percent since his switch to FC Bayern. To put things in perspective, Olise's reputation and worth were almost doubled following his move to the Bavarian powerhouse.

Tobias Kroger, market value coordinator at Transfermarkt.de explains this astonishing rise: "Olise stamped his mark in the Bundesliga with his 30 goals in 34 games in his first season with Bayern, outshining many fellow wingers across Europe."

His exceptional performance earned him the title of Bayern's standout player in the Champions League and showcased his exceptional talents in the knockout stages.

Bayern's Market Value Movers

Across all competitions, Olise contributed a staggering 17 goals and 21 assists in 50 competitive games during his maiden Bayern season. Joining him in the rising market value ranks are Aleksandar Pavlović, Josip Stanišić, and Jonas Urbig.

The Market Value Game

Will Olise soon rival teammates Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz, who might be heading for FC Liverpool? With a market value of 140 million Euros each, Musiala and Wirtz are currently ahead of Olise in the racing ranks. Coincidentally, their market value has risen since catching the eyes of Liverpool scouts.

Kroger points out that "while Olise has the potential to catch up with both [Musiala and Wirtz] in terms of market value, he'll need to consistently better his current season, shine in the Champions League, and grab national team attention."

Market Value Slip-Ups

However, FC Bayern has seen its share of market value flops as well. Players such as Raphael Guerreiro, Serge Gnabry, Joshua Kimmich, Min-jae Kim, Kingsley Coman, Hiroki Ito, Leroy Sané, João Palhinha, and Harry Kane have seen their market values drop. The common denominator? All of these players are 28 or older, suggesting that their age and future prospects may be affecting their valuations.

Michael Olise's market value has significantly increased in European-leagues, particularly in the Premier League, reaching 100 million Euros after his transfer to FC Bayern, making him one of the most valuable wingers in the Bundesliga. This impressive rise in value was due to his exceptional 30 goals in 34 games during his first season with Bayern, outshining many fellow wingers across European-leagues.
