Jack White Leaves FC Bayern Basketball for Turkish Super League

After a brief stint with FC Bayern Basketball, Jack White has moved on to the Turkish Super League, signing with Mersin MSK for the 2025-26 season. White's departure comes after helping Bayern secure the German Championship in 2025.

The Australian player joined Bayern led by coach Gordon Herbert after completing the season in Australia. His time with the team was marked by 12 playoff appearances, where he averaged 5.3 points and 3.2 rebounds.

White's departure from Bayern was confirmed three days after FC Bayern Basketball posted a birthday greeting for him on August 5. His signing with Mersin MSK was announced through his social media channels, with the message "Welcome, Jack White."

Mersin MSK, who finished a strong sixth in the previous Turkish league season, is convinced that White will make a significant contribution to their team's success. The team's confidence is bolstered by the presence of fellow Australian teammate Will Magnay, who played there last season.

White's move to Mersin MSK comes after his attempt to join the NBA Summer League with the Atlanta Hawks. However, neither White nor Bayern ruled out a potential Bayern stay after the NBA Summer League.

White's mission at Bayern was not complete, even after winning the German championship. He described the real Jack White as one who would be seen when he had a full preseason to get into the groove, but this won't happen in Munich for now.

The departure of White from Bayern suggests a change in the squad composition. FC Bayern Basketball fans are increasingly aware that they will have to get used to many new faces in the squad.

White's professional basketball career has been a journey, having previously been part of the 2021 NBA champion Denver Nuggets. His move to Mersin MSK marks another step in his career, as he continues his pursuit in Europe but outside Germany.
