FBI Chief Removes Tweet About Wisconsin Judge's Arrest, Reasons Unspecified

A Loose Cannon Takes to Twitter: Kash Patel and the Arrest of Judge Hannah Dugan

In a bold move that’s left many scratching their heads, Kash Patel, the flamboyant FBI director known for his unyielding zeal and conspiracy-theory peddling, let loose on Twitter, alleging the arrest of Judge Hannah Dugan for obstruction of justice. But there's a twist – Patel, in his original tweet from 10:11 a.m. ET, later scrapped it, only to reshare identical content two hours later, with the reason for the deletion shrouded in mystery.

"Just NOW, the FBI arrested Judge Hannah Dugan out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on charges of obstruction-after evidence of Judge Dugan obstructing an immigration arrest operation last week," Patel wrote. In true Patel style, he claimed that Judge Dugan had misdirected federal agents, allowing an illegal alien to escape. He even threw in a 1980s cop show-worthy chase scene, implying increased danger to the public from her alleged actions. Before disappearing like a ghost, he tagged the X account for the FBI in Milwaukee, teasing "more to share soon."

Curiously, the link to the original tweet now leads to a "404 Not Found" page, while the repeat version, with identical content, remains a mystery as to why it was posted again. As of writing, the U.S. Department of Justice hasn't responded to requests for comment on Patel's tweet.

The controversy surrounds an incident that occurred on April 18, at the Milwaukee County Courthouse, where ICE agents had arrived to arrest a Mexican citizen in Judge Dugan’s court. Accusations suggest that Dugan directed the agents to the chief justice’s office, and the targeted individual slipped out through a side door. The mainstream media has been polarized on Dugan’s actions, with opinions ranging from blameless to guilty of obstruction.

What we do know is that Dugan was arrested around 8:30 a.m. local time on courthouse property. She subsequently made her first court appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Stephen C. Dries, where she was charged with two felonies – obstruction and concealing an individual. Her attorney, in a statement, expressed regret over the arrest, stating it was "not made in the interest of public safety."

The charges against Judge Dugan come at a time when the Trump administration has made it perfectly clear that they plan to go after judges in an attempt to impose their extreme ideologies on the United States. Kash Patel, the architect of this purge, has been at the forefront, making headlines for his extremist views, QAnon conspiracy theories, and threats against the media. Despite growing resentment among his supporters for his seemingly slow pace in enacting revenge against perceived adversaries, it seems he's taking another step forward with these arrests. With Patel at the helm, the "arrest judges" stage of fascism looks ready to commence.

Interestingly, Patel was confirmed as FBI director in late February, with only 51 votes, and has since made millions from consulting and media deals, including serving as a board member for Trump Media, the company that owns Donald Trump's Truth Social. On the literary front, he penned a bizarre children’s book depicting Donald Trump as a king, titled "The Plot Against the King."

As the spectacle unfolds, it raises questions about the true nature of Patel’s role within the FBI and the broader implications of the Trump administration’s continued attempts to exert control over the American judiciary. One thing is certain – it’s going to be an interesting ride.
