In an exciting turn of events, Fathom's Big Screen Classics series is set to commemorate several significant film anniversaries in 2025 with screenings of remastered classics. The series, known for its commitment to showcasing timeless films with restored visuals, aims to provide a premium big-screen experience for movie enthusiasts.

The festivities kick off on July 13-16 with the 50th anniversary screening of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest." The series continues on August 3-4 with the 75th anniversary screening of "Sunset Boulevard," which will feature a new 5.1 audio mix produced by Deluxe Audio.

On August 17 and 20, Fathom will screen "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the original film. The modern iteration of "Merrily We Roll Along" will also hit the screens on December 5, following its successful run on Broadway and its filmed performance release by Sony Pictures Classics and Fathom Entertainment.

The 15th anniversary of "Black Swan" will be marked with a 4K IMAX presentation on August 21. "Jaws," a film that needs no introduction, will be honoured with a 50th-anniversary screening spanning late August into September.

The series will also feature acclaimed animated films such as "My Neighbor Totoro," "Grave of the Fireflies," "Ponyo," and "Howl’s Moving Castle."

"The Sound of Music," celebrating its 60th anniversary, will return to U.S. cinemas with a restored and remastered 4K presentation on September 13-14 and 17. The series will conclude with the September 26 screening of "Spider-Man" (Sam Raimi’s original) as part of a trilogy series in September and October screenings.

Notably, cinema critic and historian Leonard Maltin will introduce and discuss "Sunset Boulevard" during each screening.

Meanwhile, the HBCU First Look Film Festival, taking place at Howard University in Washington D.C. from Nov. 6-8, will see Marsai Martin serving as Creative Ambassador. The festival aims to inspire, elevate, and showcase the next generation of minority storytellers.

In other news, Marsai Martin, known for her role as Diane on ABC's "Black-ish" and her work as an executive producer and founder of Genius Productions, has a first-look deal with Universal Studios. New Regency has also appointed Colin Greten as VP of Film and Tesha Crawford as executive VP and head of international television.

The upcoming projects of New Regency include "Blood Meridian," "Watch Dogs," and "Psycho Killer."
