Vin Diesel Wrote Role for Him - Fast X: Part 2 stuck in limbo over budget battles and Ronaldo rumors

Production on Fast X: Part 2 remains stalled as budget disputes and contract talks drag on. The film, also known as Fast & Furious 11, faces delays despite Vin Diesel’s plans to introduce a new character—reportedly written for Cristiano Ronaldo. No official confirmation has come from the studio or the footballer himself.

Universal Pictures aims to cap the film’s budget at around $200 million to speed up profitability. However, the current script demands roughly $250 million, leaving a $50 million shortfall before cameras can roll. The studio has yet to finalise agreements with key cast and crew, further postponing the start of filming.

Without a resolved budget or confirmed casting, Fast X: Part 2 stays in limbo. Universal’s push for cost cuts and Diesel’s ambition to include Ronaldo add layers of complexity. Until contracts are signed and funding is secured, production cannot move forward.
