BTS and McDonald's Collaborate Again with TinyTAN Happy Meal
BTS fans worldwide are in for a treat as McDonald's announces a new collaboration featuring the K-pop sensation and their animated alter-egos, TinyTAN. This marks the third collaboration between the fast-food giant and the South Korean group.
TinyTAN, chibi-like representations of the seven BTS members, were first introduced in 2019 by BigHit Entertainment (now HYBE Corporation). These animated characters, stylized to embody each member visually, have since become an integral part of the band's identity.
The new Happy Meal BTS collection will include TinyTAN toys, each featuring one of the BTS members: Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, or Jungkook. The toys are a delightful addition to the collaboration, which is aimed at K-pop fans and will be available in over 60 countries, including Mexico, starting September 3.
The TinyTAN characters were originally conceived by BTS themselves as a way to represent each member in a collectible and animated form. Since then, they have been used in various collaborations and merchandise, most notably in a partnership with McDonald's for special Happy Meal toys and promotions starting from 2021 and continuing through 2025.
The name TinyTAN is a clever play on words, derived from "Tiny" and "TAN" from "Bangtan," which refers to "Bangtan Sonyeondan," the original name of the group. The new Happy Meal BTS collection will undoubtedly be a hit among fans, offering a unique way to collect and enjoy these beloved characters across different media and products.
