Faryna's Concerts Keep Herford Kids Safe on Roads
The Herford district's 'Traffic Safety' working group has been keeping local school children safe on the roads through an innovative project called 'Safe in Traffic'. This initiative, which includes lively concerts by musician 'Faryna', has been captivating young minds for seven years now.
Faryna, a talented bandoneon player who often collaborates with jazz guitarist Víctor Javier Papadia, has been touring elementary schools in the district. Her catchy melodies and concise lyrics make learning traffic safety rules fun and engaging for children.
Last Friday, Faryna performed a participatory concert for all first-graders of the four Vlotho elementary schools. The event was fully occupied, with Landrat Jürgen Müller in attendance. He was thrilled by the children's enthusiasm and the concert's impact on their understanding of traffic safety. Faryna's repertoire includes songs about visibility, traffic lights, cycling, and school street safety, ensuring children learn crucial behaviors to stay safe on the roads.
The 'Safe in Traffic' project has been recognized for its excellence, receiving the 'Red Knight' award from the Children's Accident Help e.V.
Faryna's concerts, a key part of the 'Safe in Traffic' project, continue to make a significant difference in the Herford district. With her engaging performances and important safety messages, she has become a beloved figure in local schools. While the frequency of her concerts this year is yet to be determined, her impact on children's safety education is undeniable.
