Fargo HVAC Experts Share Tips to Prevent Frozen Pipes This Winter

A local HVAC company in Fargo has urged homeowners to prepare their furnaces for the dropping temperatures. Laney’s, a heating and cooling specialist, shared key advice to avoid common winter issues like frozen pipes and overheating.

Ty Rambousek, business development manager at Laney’s, recommended setting thermostats between 75 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. This range helps prevent furnaces from working too hard while also stopping pipes from freezing.

Rambousek also suggested leaving a faucet trickling with warm water. The steady flow can maintain water pressure and reduce the risk of frozen lines during extreme cold. The company stressed the importance of keeping furnaces clean. A well-maintained system runs more efficiently, ensuring homes stay warm when temperatures plummet.

Laney’s advice comes as Fargo faces colder weather. Homeowners following these steps can lower the chances of frozen pipes and furnace problems. Proper maintenance and small adjustments may help avoid costly repairs later in the season.
