"I was instantly inspired," Kidman shared with "Vogue" about her fashion choices for the night. "Demna sent me this sketch, and I was blown away by how he modernized an old design, ultimately creating something unique and unforgettable."

In her own words, the dress was a fun and fitting tribute to the "Tailored For You" dress code set by Anna Wintour (75), Vogue editor-in-chief and the event's dauntless organizer. "From the hips, over the bows at the waist, to the corset, Demna and his team have tailored this dress perfectly. The fabric and the tulle are divine," Kidman gushed, knowing they had drawn inspiration from female dandies like singer and actress Eartha Kitt (1927-2008) for the look.
