After a city-wide shutdown due to fire safety concerns, bookswap libraries have finally made their return to London. They were forced to close at all London Underground Stations in March, but London Mayor Sadiq Khan has successfully negotiated an agreement with Transport for London and the London Fire Brigade to bring them back, solely at above-ground stations, housed in new fire safety cabinets. We can't help but be reminded of the time an office health and safety inspector suggested City AM consider the disposal of its own collection of potentially hazardous materials: newspapers.
