The Sararkin District Prosecutor's Office in Astana, Kazakhstan, has been actively enforcing labor laws in the city's kindergartens. A recent analysis revealed systematic violations in several kindergartens, leading to the repayment of a debt exceeding 1 billion tenge.

The violations included delays in wage payments, pension contributions, social taxes, and medical insurance payments for over 2,100 employees. The constitutional rights of workers in these kindergartens have been restored, and the affected employees have received their full payments.

The prosecutor's office continues to play a pivotal role in maintaining labor law compliance in the capital. The agency emphasizes that respecting workers' rights, particularly in the social sector, is a key aspect of state policy.

Kindergarten workers in Astana operate under Kazakhstan’s integrated labor and education regulatory frameworks. These frameworks emphasize qualification requirements, safety, fair labor practices, and government oversight. The voucher funding system, implemented in 2024, is designed to improve service quality, transparency, and accessibility, indirectly influencing the working conditions of kindergarten staff.

Under Kazakhstan’s labor laws, violations can lead to regulatory oversight, sanctions, and legal recourse. Regulatory oversight may come from regional administrations or the Ministry of Education, while sanctions could involve suspension of licenses or dismissal of non-compliant personnel. Workers can also appeal to labor inspectorates and legal bodies if their rights are violated.

The Sararkin District Prosecutor's Office encourages capital residents and organization employees to report any labor law violations. The agency serves as a resource for addressing such issues and remains vigilant in ensuring labor law compliance in the capital.

The findings of this analysis were reported by CMN.KZ. Additionally, a disciplinary responsibility has been imposed on the official who committed these violations. The prosecutor's office will continue to monitor labor law compliance to prevent future violations.
