Far East Region Kicks Off Early Heating Season

The Far East region is gearing up for the winter season. The Administration of Khabarovsk has finalised a document outlining heat supply rules for multi-apartment buildings and social facilities. Meanwhile, Komsomolsk-on-Amur has kicked off its heating season early this year.

Last year, Khabarovsk residents waited until October 8 for heating to begin. However, this year, the city may start as early as October 6, depending on the average daily temperature dropping below +8 degrees for five consecutive days. In contrast, Komsomolsk-on-Amur has already begun its heating operation on October 1, a week earlier than last year.

The new heating season in Komsomolsk-on-Amur is marked by the commissioning of a new boiler house, which will serve a local microdistrict. Once the heating systems are turned on, it may take between three to five days for multi-apartment buildings to feel the warmth. Educational institutions will be prioritised in this process.

Residents are advised to bleed air from their radiators, especially those living on higher floors, to speed up the heating process. If there's no heat within the specified time, residents are urged to contact their managing companies for assistance.

The heating season in the Far East region is underway, with Komsomolsk-on-Amur starting early this year. Khabarovsk residents may also enjoy an early start, depending on the weather. Residents are reminded to take necessary actions to ensure a comfortable winter season.
