Far East Literary Prize 'Arsentyev' Celebrates Diversity in Seventh Season

The seventh season of the State All-Russian Literary Prize 'Far East' named after V.K. Arsentyev has seen a remarkable response. Renowned children's author Anna Goncharova has commended the high quality and diversity of the submitted works. The prize, established in 2019 at the initiative of Yuri Trutnev, continues to foster literary talent in the Far East region.

The advisory board has formed a longlist of 30 works, with 10 entries each in the 'Long Prose', 'Short Prose', and 'Children's Prose' categories. The criteria for evaluation include being interesting, well-written, and imbued with love for the country and region. Goncharova noted that the works introduced her to many new Far Eastern authors, both children's and adult.

The jury has selected authors such as Elena Dundich, Olga Vasilieva, and Alexei Kim for the shortlist in the 'Adult Prose' category. Goncharova praised the Arsenyev Prize for its solid organization, substantial theme, and potential to unite writers who care about their region. She hopes that many participants, especially those who make it to the shortlist, will become literary classics in the future.

The seventh season of the All-Russian Literary Prize 'Far East' has demonstrated the richness and diversity of literary talent in the region. With its rigorous evaluation criteria and commitment to fostering regional pride, the prize continues to make a significant impact on the literary landscape of the Far East.
