In the midst of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Borussia Düsseldorf's table tennis season is set to begin with a series of exciting matches. Top players like Anton Källberg and Timo Boll are in the limelight, having won various tournaments in Sweden and at the Düsseldorf Masters.

However, the number of spectators allowed to watch the matches live in the hall has been limited due to safety concerns. Originally, 300 spectators could attend, but only 100 will be admitted to ensure no risk. Social distancing rules will be maintained among spectators, and the decision on which trio will play against Grenzau will be made shortly before the game.

Timo Boll, a top Borussia player, has set the season's goal to win titles again. However, his current form is not yet in title-winning form, as he has been dealing with an inflammation on a vertebra since March and is currently building up his fitness. Anton Källberg, another player, is in great shape after a series of victories, but Ricardo Walther, despite being on a good path, has had back and neck problems. Kristian Karlsson is also recovering from an elbow operation and is being rebuilt carefully.

The live stream of the match takes on particular importance due to the limited number of spectators. The live stream will be free for viewers on Sunday and will be available on tv.borussia-duesseldorf.de and tischtennis-deutschland.tv. The live stream will be broadcast with four cameras and commentary.

The decision to allow spectators was made in close coordination with the city's health department, and the hygiene concept for the table tennis season at Borussia Düsseldorf likely includes health and safety measures for players, staff, and spectators, spectator limits depending on local COVID-19 regulations and venue capacity, and live stream availability to allow fans to watch remotely if attendance is limited.

For the precise hygiene concept, spectator regulations, and live stream details, it is recommended to check Borussia Düsseldorf’s official site or their social media accounts. Manager Andreas Preuß made the statements regarding the spectators and live stream.

As the season unfolds, fans can look forward to exciting matches and the determination of top players like Anton Källberg, Timo Boll, and Ricardo Walther, who are all eager to bring home titles for Borussia Düsseldorf.
