Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins Returns with a Star-Studded Lineup

The seventh season of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is set to air on Channel 4, promising another round of gruelling challenges for a diverse group of celebrities.

This reality television series, which mimics the intense physical and psychological demands of real SAS selection, has become known for pushing celebrities out of their comfort zones and testing their mental and physical resilience. The show is led by a team of ex-Special Forces instructors, including Chief Instructor Billy Billingham and Directing Staff member Jason "Foxy" Fox, who is the sole remaining original member on the Channel 4 show.

The upcoming series features an impressive lineup of participants, including S Club singer Hannah Spearitt, Dancer and TV star Louie Spence, Love Island star and podcaster Chloe Burrows, Love Island and Strictly star Tasha Ghouri, Former footballer Troy Deeney, Peru Two drug mule turned author and influencer Michealla McCollum, Rapper and ex-Loose Women star Lady Leshurr, Love Island lothario Adam Collard, TV & media personality Rebecca Loos, Ex Footballer Adebayo "The Beast" Akinfenwa, Drag Race UK winner Bimini Bon Boulash, Pro boxer Conor Benn, The X Factor star Lucy Spraggan, The Traitors winner Harry Clark, and more.

In past seasons, some celebrities have called the experience brutal, and it seems this year's lineup is ready to face the challenge. However, former SAS instructor Jason Fox has been critical of some past participants, stating that they were unprepared for the demands of the course. He recently shared on the Stick to Rugby podcast that he still talks with celebrities like Wayne Bridge about their experiences on the show.

One celebrity who faced criticism from Fox was Katie Price, who quit the gruelling course after just two days. Fox described her stint on Celeb SAS: Who Dares Wins as "disappointing". Price, who received £120,000 for her participation, was reportedly unhappy when she discovered she would be in Scotland for the show and even admitted to having a real fear of the water. Despite these challenges, she was happy when she was put on a boat and sent home.

While some celebrities may struggle with the demands of the course, others have thrived. In the first season, Wayne Bridge was the winner, and in the second season, both Lauren Steadman (a Paralympic athlete) and DJ Locksmith passed selection. In subsequent seasons, winners have included singers, athletes, reality TV personalities, and entertainers.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is a unique reality TV competition that offers no cash or physical prize for winners—successful celebrities simply gain the title of having passed the SAS selection process. This distinguishes the show from other celebrity reality competitions that award charitable donations or symbolic crowns.

As the seventh season of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins approaches, viewers can expect to see a broad spectrum of celebrities from various backgrounds taking on the course to test their limits. The show is known for exposing the true grit of its participants beyond their public personas, making for compelling and engaging television.
