Title: Hollywood Takes to the Streets: A-Listers Join Nationwide Protests Against Trump

Grab your popcorn, Hollywood is ready to take the stage once again. The silver screen's heavy-hitters are joining the masses in nationwide disruptive demonstrations against the rule of US President Donald J. Trump.

Veteran actor Mark Ruffalo, widely recognized for his titanic performance in the "Avengers" franchise, donned a protest sign instead of the Hulk's green finery in Manhattan. Branding Trump as a self-proclaimed king and dictator, Ruffalo claimed that the President has trampled on the fundamental rights of US citizens and the constitution. "We're angry and frightened. The only way out is to stand together and fight," said the 57-year-old, undeterred by the gloomy rain.

Kerry Washington (48), famed for her portrayals in "Scandal" and "Django Unchained," shared photos and videos of protesters in sunny Los Angeles on Instagram. "This is what democracy should look like," the talented actress says while marching in the "No Kings" protest with protesters on the streets.

Legendary actress Glenn Close (78), known for her roles in "Fatal Attraction" and "Dangerous Liaisons," shared her impressions from Bozeman, Montana. She spoke of the massive demonstrations, writing "The people are furious and they're out in droves." With snaps and vids, Close captured the raw energy of the protests in that peaceful town.

Popular host of "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Jimmy Kimmel (57), took his parents along to a protest in the San Francisco area. Sharing his joy at seeing citizens taking action to protect their friends and neighbors, he posted on Instagram: "I'm grateful for so many Americans standing up for what's right." He sprinkled some positivity into the conversation with the hashtag #NoKings. Electronic musician Moby (59), urged his audience to do everything to protect democracy, sharing a video of himself amid the protests alongside the protesters.

Over 2,100 cities nationwide have witnessed thousands of defiant citizens marching for their rights and democracy. Coinciding with the military parade in Washington D.C., organized to mark the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, the protesters echoed the "No Kings" rallying cry against what they deemed President Trump's autocratic conduct.
