Family Summer Festival Invitation in Benrath, Düsseldorf – KDDM
It's time to celebrate at the 11th KDDM Summer Festival, also known as the KDDM Cup! This epic event is happening on Thursday, 29th May, and it's gonna be a blast for everyone in Düsseldorf. The action takes place at VfL Benrath sports ground located on Bayreuther Straße in Benrath.
The day starts off with a football tournament in the morning, followed by a family festival from noon onwards. Get ready to enjoy plenty of games and activities for the little ones, a stage program, food and drink stalls, and running competitions!
One of the main highlights of the afternoon is the interreligious team game featuring Catholic, Protestant, Muslim clergy against the selection from the NRW state parliament and the traditional team Fortuna Düsseldorf. Kick-off is at 16:45.
New additions to the program include various running events suited for children, students, women, men, and relay teams. The fastest competitors will receive awards.
There'll be numerous stalls selling international food and providing info from companies and organizations on the football ground’s gravel pitch. Kids can't wait to get their hands on the water slide, sports action bus, archery, face painting, soap bubble show, obstacle course, and much more.
The stage also offers entertainment like Bosnian folklore, a special harp performance by Zainab Lax, and stand-up comedy by Benaissa Lamroubal. Marcel Sonneck from the Datteltärner will keep things running smooth as moderator. Düsseldorf's Lord Mayor, Dr. Stephan Keller, will be present in the afternoon. The festival is set to close at 8 pm.
