Family avoids harm following pipe bomb explosion in Armagh

In the dead of the night, a family narrowly escapes injury after a pipe bomb is hurled at their home in Mullaghban, Co Armagh.
The bombing took place within the Sliabh Mór area around 12:30 am. The device was launched at the front of the house, causing extensive damage to the windows and an outdoor railing.
Despite the chaos, luck was on the young family's side – they remained unscathed but were left shaken by the unexpected event.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) is taking the case seriously and has launched an investigation. The remains of the device have been sent off for thorough forensic examination, with their aim to identify the motive behind this attack.
The community and political figures alike have condemned the incident. The PSNI is mobilizing efforts to gather information, asking anyone who spotted any suspicious individuals or vehicles, or possesses CCTV or dashcam footage, to reach out to detectives at 101, referencing 58 of 27/06/25.
