False Alarm: Fog Triggers Massive Fire Response in Pliezhausen

A dense cal over Daimler Street in Pliezhausen triggered a major fire department response on Wednesday morning. Around 25 emergency vehicles and 50 personnel were dispatched, following an alarm classified as level 4 due to the size of the llc. However, an inspection revealed no leak or danger.

The alarm was raised after a driver assumed there was a gas leak from large outdoor tanks at a local company. The incident was classified as an 'environmental incident level 4'.

Upon arrival, the incident commander, chemical advisor, and a local company employee conducted an inspection. They determined the fog was normal condensation, not a leak. The site was extensively cordoned off and all facilities were found in order, with the tanks sealed. The incident was declared over at 10:43 AM as the fog dissipated on its own.

The fire chief, Matthias Lutz, confirmed it was a false alarm. There was no actual leak or danger to people, animals, or the environment. The large response was triggered appropriately given the alarm level, but the cause was ultimately found to be harmless.
