Revamped Report: Bowling League Showdown

It's time to dish the deets on the latest action from the FTBJ-ICBL Novarino Inter-Company Bowling League's 32nd Conference, held at Jeddah Lanes. Buckle up as Falcon narrowly missed a perfect score, earning their third Team of the Week award, but fallen just short of history!

Falcon, on the brink of bowling history, scored a near-perfect 39 points, helmed by Danny Bautista's remarkable 724 series. But it was Sarawat-Alanson that foiled their dream of becoming the first team to score a perfect 40, finishing with 33 points, six points behind Falcon.

Meanwhile, hosting squad Jeddah Lanes claimed the third spot with 28 points. Cristal Global followed closely behind with 24 points, trailed by Hidada Ltd. with 23 points and the tied duo of JM Derby and Sky Freight-TFC on 19 points each.

At the bottom of the table, you'll find D' Barkads, Lance & 3rdy, and Jem Strikers with 16, 11, and 8 points respectively.

Bautista's prowess did not go unnoticed by the commentators as he was honored with the Men's Bowler of the Week award. For the ladies, Len-Len Berina of Cristal Global nailed the award with a stellar 652 series.

Supporting Bautista's efforts involved Matet Cavite, Nonie Yap, Rico Nery, and Ed Labuac, while Len-Len Berina's display was aided by Zaldy Bacero, Bonie Garcia, and Merlen Pamintuan.

At this early stage of the competition, two teams, Alanson and Cristal, appear to be gearing up for another titanic clash akin to the last conference. With Igna Salgado and Paul Antiporda powering Alanson, they're back at the top after briefly relinquishing their lead to Cristal. Veteran Cris Villavelez, Sharmaine Patayan, and Thess Marasigan turned in solid performances for Jeddah Lanes.

With Berina's spectacular 617, 558 from Zaldy Bacero, 543 from Bonie Garcia, and 543 from Merlen Pamintuan, Cristal seems to hold on tight to the top spot. If you're keeping score, Hidada boasts Nanding Siasoco, Grace Siasoco, Pinky Acato, Amro Al-Amri, Rene Martinez, and Romy Bunagan.
