Fainting Goat Inn Named America's Top Haunted Hotel for 2025
The Fainting Goat Island Inn, nestled along the Susquehanna River in Nichols, New York, has once again been recognised as the nation's top haunted hotel. This Victorian inn, decorated with antiques and goat-themed decor, is reportedly home to noisy, permanent ghosts, with guests sharing various paranormal experiences.
The inn, located at 1311 W. River Road, offers four bookable bedrooms named after goats, providing a unique and chilling stay. Marnie Streit, who discovered the inn and was captivated by its history, bought the property and now owns and manages it with her family. This is not the first time the Fainting Goat Inn has received such honours. It has previously won top ghoulish awards in 2023, 2022, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2024. Additionally, Hotel Saranac in the Adirondacks was voted the 10th best haunted hotel of 2025, further cementing New York's reputation as a hotspot for paranormal enthusiasts.
The Fainting Goat Island Inn, with its rich history and reported ghostly residents, continues to draw attention and accolades. Guests can book a stay through the inn's website, ready to experience the unique blend of history, elegance, and perhaps, a touch of the supernatural.
