Dallas Cowboys Considering Contract Extension for Kicker Brandon Aubrey

The Dallas Cowboys are contemplating extending the contract of their reliable kicker, Brandon Aubrey, following his impressive performance in the team's recent victory over the New York Giants.

Aubrey, a 30-year-old two-time Pro Bowl selection, has been a consistent performer for the Cowboys since joining the team three seasons ago. He has made all three field-goal attempts and all six extra-point tries this season, and in his 36 career games with the team, he has drilled 82 out of 91 field-goal attempts and 85 out of 88 PATs.

The crucial moment that caught the attention of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was the game-tying 64-yard field goal and the winning 46-yard kick in overtime, which secured a 40-37 victory for the Dallas Cowboys. Jones, who has had communications about a potential contract extension for Aubrey since the kick, has expressed interest in signing the kicker to a new deal.

Jones believes that Aubrey is a crucial part of the Dallas Cowboys' future and has referred to the extension as "coming." Aubrey is currently in the final season of his three-year, $2.695 million contract with the team, and if re-signed, the new contract would begin in 2024.

The potential contract extension for Aubrey has been a topic of discussion since his performance in the Dallas Cowboys' game against the New York Giants. The Dallas Cowboys are considering extending the contract of the kicker, who played a crucial role in their victory, as they look to secure his services for the future.
