Expression of Variety and Harmonious Coexistence
The city of Euskirchen recently played host to the Integration Cup 2025, an event that was more than just a football tournament. It symbolized unity, diversity, and lived integration within the community.
Last Saturday, the event took place, with Salih Yavuz, chairman of the Integration Council, welcoming the participants and leading the proceedings. The Integration Cup aimed to set a sign for openness, respect, and togetherness, not only on the field but also off it, in the following year.
Mayor Sasha Reichelt opened the event, and fifteen teams participated, each bringing their own unique spirit to the competition. The matches were fair, friendly, and filled with healthy ambition, making for an exciting tournament.
Meanwhile, adults enjoyed a diverse culinary selection and the open community spirit that pervaded the event. The youngest guests had fun at the bouncy castle, face painting, and the popular Karlo-Klötzchen.
The gift bags for the participating teams were generously donated by Vogelsang IP, dm-drogerie markt, Procter & Gamble Manufacturing, and the Kreissparkasse Euskirchen. The youngest guests also received lovingly assembled surprises, donated by the Volksbank Euskirchen and EUGEBAU.
The Integration Cup 2025 saw a total of 50 games played, each lasting 10 minutes. The tournament concluded with an exciting final, the details of which have not been disclosed yet.
