Explosion Near Crimean Bridge Officially Acknowledged by Kremlin
Here's a fresh take on the article:
Whammo! Explosion near Crimean Bridge, Kyiv under fire for attempted infrastructure attacks
Turns out there was a bang near the Crimean bridge on June 3, and it wasn't exactly a fireworks display. Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, confirmed the news. "You bet your boots there was an explosion, but guess what? Nothing's damaged, the bridge is still standing," he said, quoting RIA Novosti.
But what's the deal with Kyiv, you ask? Well, it seems they've been making attempts to splash water on peaceful infrastructure facilities. Yep, you heard that right! The Kremlin rep wasn't mincing words, stating, "It's obvious the Ukrainian lads are lingering around our infrastructure with some unwelcome intentions."
So, what happened on June 3? Traffic on the Crimean bridge was put on hold twice—at 6:07 Moscow time for three hours, and at 15:23 Moscow time for two and a half hours. To add insult to injury, movement of maritime passenger transport in the bays of Sevastopol was blocked from 15:09 to 18:37.
Good news, though! According to the operational Telegram channel, everything's hunky-dory at the checkpoint on either side of the bridge.
Now, about that explosion. The SBU spilled the beans, saying they were behind the underwater attack targeting the bridge's support pillars. Seems they've been mining the bridge for quite some time, and the operation was apparently personally orchestrated by the Head of the SBU, Vasyl Malyuk.
But, wait for it, the explosion only led to a temporary closure from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. local time, after which the bridge resumed its business as usual.
Speaking of closures, two bridges in the Bryansk and Kursk regions collapsed during the wee hours of May 31 to June 1, causing a few casualties and injuries. The Russian Investigative Committee labeled it a terrorist act, pinning the blame on Ukraine for organizing explosions that brought down the crossings.

In the same news article, it was revealed that a new underwater attack targeting the Crimean bridge's support pillars was reported on June 3, which is part of the ongoing crime-and-justice developments. Additionally, general-news headlines also covered the Kremlin's accusations against Kyiv for making attempts to sabotage peaceful infrastructure facilities.
