Tuta, the 26-year-old Brazilian central defender, has bid farewell to Eintracht Frankfurt after four successful years with the German club. The defender, who made a total of 187 appearances for Frankfurt, scoring ten goals and providing three assists, is joining Qatar's Al-Duhail SC on a five-year contract.

Tuta's departure from Frankfurt is permanent, marking the end of an era for the player who became a mainstay at the club since joining in January 2019 from Sao Paulo FC. The defender played a significant role in the development and success of Eintracht Frankfurt, including their historic Europa League victory in 2022, his greatest achievement with the club.

Sporting director Markus Krösche considered Tuta an important part of the team and their success. In a statement, Krösche said, "Tuta will forever be part of Eintracht Frankfurt's history, thanks to his valuable contributions and his role in our Europa League triumph."

The transfer fee paid to Frankfurt for Tuta's services is reported to be around €15 million, with wages totaling an estimated €40 million package, making Tuta one of the most expensive signings in Al-Duhail SC's history. The defender is expected to earn a net total of €25 million if he completes his contract duration.

Tuta's transfer to Al-Duhail SC is happening with immediate effect, and he will join a team that finished second in the Qatar Stars League last season. The club is reinforcing its squad for a stronger campaign, and Tuta's addition is expected to bolster their defensive line.

Despite Tuta's departure, Eintracht Frankfurt will continue to rely on their strong squad, which includes the likes of Evan N'Dicka, Martin Hinteregger, and Sebastian Rode. The club has decided to sell Tuta instead of extending his contract, which was set to run until 2026.

Tuta spent a year on loan at KV Kortrijk in the 2019/2020 season but returned to Frankfurt in the summer of 2020, where he established himself as a key player in the team. The defender's contributions to Eintracht Frankfurt will not be forgotten, and he will always be remembered as a crucial part of the club's history.
