Breaking: Major Bust in Poonch District Following Pahalgam Attack

Exploded Improvised Devices (IEDs) uncovered by security forces from a terminated hideout of militants in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir.

Got the lowdown on the latest deets? Here's the skinny:

Amidst rising tensions with Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian Army's Romeo Force, in alliance with the Jammu and Kashmir police, uncovered a suspected hideout in Surankote, Poonch district, on Monday. The hideout held five improvised explosive devices, radio sets, binoculars, and blankets.

Intriguing, right? Here's the tea: Two of these explosive devices were found in steel buckets, while the remaining three were secreted away in tiffin boxes. Additional items discovered included two wireless sets, five urea packets, a gas cylinder, binoculars, warm caps, blankets, some trousers, and kitchenware.

Security forces have been on high alert since the Pahalgam tragedy on April 22, where 26 people, mostly tourists, lost their lives due to a terror attack. The perpetrators, who escaped the scene, are being huntsmen down in a massive manhunt.

Want more deets? Scoop the following: A joint security review meeting, attended by officers from various security forces, took place the day before the bust. The meeting convened by the Inspector General of Police VK Birdi included police, army, intelligence agencies, and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

Keeping up with the story? Here are more news nuggets: Following the attack, India announced several diplomatic and economic measures against Pakistan, such as suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, withholding visa services, banning Pakistani ships from Indian ports, and closing its airspace to aircraft registered in Pakistan and operated by Pakistani airlines.

Heard that? India stands firm, vowing to track down the perpetrators of the attack and their planners. Pakistan, however, has claimed it's willing for an independent investigation into the Pahalgam terror attack. Seems like the situation is heating up, doesn't it?

Defense minister Rajnath Singh recently shared his views, emphasizing his commitment to providing a fitting reply to those who dare to attack India. Pakistan, on the other hand, claims India is preparing for a military strike.
