Facing a Teacher Deficit in Saxony-Anhalt

Students who opt for this program commit to working as teachers in Saxony-Anhalt for at least five years after graduation, with the state providing a training allowance of at least €1,400 for Bachelor's degrees.

Nationwide, the UK government is also taking steps to address teacher shortages, implementing initiatives to recruit and retain teachers, particularly in subjects with persistent shortages. Financial incentives, such as bursaries and scholarships, are being offered to attract qualified individuals to key subjects. Up-skilling opportunities and pedagogical training programs are also being expanded to prepare graduates for teaching roles.
