MLB® The Show™ 25, the latest instalment in the popular baseball game series, offers a multitude of new features and improvements as part of its 2025 update cycle.
Expanded All-Star Week Content
The game brings back a variety of All-Star related in-game events and content, such as Team Affinity, Programs, Mini Seasons, Showdowns, Packs, Collections, and Fan Predictions. Programs drop nightly following the MLB Draft, Home Run Derby, and All-Star Game. A new Diamond Quest mode is introduced alongside the Moonshot Event, which appears for a limited time. Players can earn 2025 All-Star vouchers to unlock new player items and rewards in Diamond Dynasty.
Speedway Classic Integration
For the first time, the game includes a new ballpark—Bristol Motor Speedway, site of the MLB Speedway Classic. This unique stadium experience reflects MLB games played at a non-traditional stadium. Players can unlock Speedway Classic-themed cards, including new high-rated players, and compete in multiplayer events tied to this unique setting.
Special Player Programs and Moments
New programs celebrate baseball legends and current stars. For example, a tribute to Ryne Sandberg comes with themed Moments and Mission challenges to earn a 99 overall Hall of Fame Series Ryne Sandberg card. Other programs focus on outfielders like David Justice and Eric Davis. 2025 Hall of Fame inductees like Dave Parker, Billy Wagner, Dick Allen, and CC Sabathia also feature prominently in new Moments and Missions tied to the Hall of Fame Program. A Hall of Fame Diamond Quest includes hand-crafted Moments and Showdowns that reward legendary cards and packs.
Enhanced Gameplay and New Modes
In addition to these additions, MLB The Show 25 focuses on enriching seasonal events with unique programs, introducing the novel Speedway Classic setting, enhancing player collections with Hall of Fame and All-Star integrations, and refining gameplay with player updates and new modes such as Diamond Quest.
The Amateur Years in MLB® The ShowTM 25 include High School and College games, allowing players to start their journey from the bottom and work their way up to the Hall of Fame. Players can customize their RTTS ballplayer and edit perks in the new Path to 99 Progression system. All-new Ambush Hitting provides a more realistic "plan of attack" at the plate.
Franchise and March to October modes offer improved Player Valuation Logic and Contract Logic. Online gameplay is faster than before, and in all modes, there are exciting new gameplay features, including a variety of RTTS Impact Plays.
Additional Features
Diamond Dynasty: 360 in MLB® The ShowTM 25 allows players to collect and earn player cards with no more time-limited season restrictions. A new G.O.A.T difficulty level is available for the ultimate challenge. However, it's important to note that the game may include Random In-Game Purchases.
