In the world of K-pop, the South Korean boy band Seventeen continues to make waves with their latest album, 'Happy Burstday', and the surprise release of member Hoshi's solo track, 'Take A Shot'.

'Happy Burstday', the group's seventh mini-album, has received mixed reviews. However, it has been praised for showcasing Seventeen's transformation over the last 10 years. The record's focus on solo songs exposes each member's strengths and weaknesses when they stand alone, offering a unique insight into the group's chemistry and magnetism.

The review of 'Happy Burstday' by Gladys Yeo, published in NME, gave the album a three-star rating, praising its showcase of the group's transformation over the years.

Amidst the military enlistments of several members, Hoshi and bandmate Woozi formed the sub-unit HxW and released the single album 'BEAM' in March. More recently, Hoshi surprised fans with 'Take A Shot', a solo track that features him rapping over dizzying trap beats.

S.Coups, the group's leader, is exempt from military service due to an ACL injury. Nine of the thirteen members will have to serve in the military, with Jeonghan and Wonwoo already enlisted. The remaining four members, not serving in the military, have expressed their intention to 'stick together and make something great to showcase to the fans'.

The8, Jun, and Joshua, who are Chinese and foreign citizens, are not required to serve in the military. The entire group will reconvene once everyone has completed their two-year military service.

Seventeen's management agency, Pledis Entertainment, has confirmed that individual members will remain active through solo material. This allows fans to continue enjoying the group's music even during the members' military service.

In related news, Hoshi founded the band Seventeen before his military service and has already released a single album with a member of that band. Fans eagerly await more solo releases from the talented members of Seventeen.
