Expansion of Sorg Racing's race history documented
Sorg Rennsport, a racing team led by brothers Benjamin and Daniel Sorg, is currently making waves in the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland (PSCD) 2025. The team is performing exceptionally well, particularly in both the Porsche Endurance Challenge Germany and the Porsche Sprint Challenge Germany GT4.
After the fourth round, Co-Teamchef Daniel Sorg expressed strong satisfaction with the team's results and performance, highlighting the drivers' excellent skills and fighting spirit.
Expanding its engagement in the PSCD this season, Sorg Rennsport fielded all three Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport cars not only for the Sprint Challenge but also for the Porsche Endurance Challenge Germany for the first time at Oschersleben. This was a notable broadening of their campaign.
In the one-hour endurance race, 18-year-old driver Joep Breedveld, part of the PSCD Talent Pool, impressively secured 2nd place in Class 1c as a solo driver. His teammates Mads K. Ljungberg and Leon Bauchmüller shared driving duties in car #61 (Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport with 368 kW / 500 PS), achieving 3rd place. Nick von Essen and Robert Heger co-drove another GT4 RS Clubsport to a 7th place finish in endurance.
The success of Sorg Rennsport doesn't stop at endurance races. In the GT4 races at the start of the PSCD 2025 season, the team dominated, winning all GT4 races in the Sprint Challenge.
As of late July, Sorg Rennsport leads the team standings in the PSCD. Joep Breedveld had two wins in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Germany GT4 at the Red Bull Ring, with teammate Leon Bauchmüller finishing second in one race. Mads K. Ljungberg also finished 4th in a Sprint Challenge race.
The positive development of Sorg Rennsport's young drivers continues in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Germany GT4. Nick von Essen, consistently learning in his first complete season in motorsport, is making steady progress. Robert Heger, the son of Carrera Cup legend Altfrid Heger, is also contributing to the team's success.
With two remaining events in Spa-Francorchamps and Hockenheim, Sorg Rennsport is poised to continue its impressive run in the PSCD 2025. The team's co-principal, Daniel Sorg, remains pleased with the team's performance in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Germany GT4.
