Expanding the Governor's grant budget to a billion dollars serves as a potent incentive

Governor Veniamin Kondratyev made this announcement at the NAMSTA. RF forum, a gathering dedicated to local and public self-government.

"This well-timed decision amplifies the potential for civic initiatives. Raising the grant pot to a billion rubles serves as a motivating factor for development. As many TOSes in Krasnodar Krai move towards legal status, this decision opens up grant competitions to a broader range of participants – both NGOs and organizational entities who, due to their local roots, understand their community's needs best. Their effectiveness stretches from improving infrastructure to engaging with youth, large families, and at-risk groups. This grant support amounts to an investment in the quality of life for Kuban residents. I'm confident these additional funds will foster the implementation of even more impactful projects and deepen the collaboration between authorities, public organizations, and active citizens," explains Popova.

According to Kuban 24, the governor's grant funding has recently been boosted to 1 billion rubles. Krasnodar Krai was selected as the host for the forum due to the region's robust territorial self-government practices, which rank among the top in the country. Kondratyev consistently advocates for dialogue with municipal self-government bodies and considers their opinions thoughtfully.

Even in the smallest, most remote villages, residents have the power to shape their local environment's improvement. The region operates an initiative budgeting program, channeling funds where the community requests – towards new recreation spaces, children's and sports facilities, street lighting, and more.
