Expanding Terms with Netflix for Harry and Meghan

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced a new multi-year deal with Netflix, but it's important to note that this is not an extension or renewal of their previous $100 million multiyear agreement. Instead, it's a fresh, first-look agreement between Netflix and their production company, Archewell.

This new deal comes after the success of their previous work on the platform. For instance, their documentary about their departure from their lives as "working royals", Harry & Meghan, garnered 23.4 million views following its launch in December 2022. Another noteworthy project was the show Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within, which is set to premiere later this year. This series shines a light on an orphanage in Uganda and serves as a beacon of hope in a situation where the shadows of the HIV/Aids crisis linger.

One of their most popular projects was With Love, Meghan, a lifestyle series featuring Meghan cooking with celebrity friends. The first season received 5.3 million views. In fact, Archewell has announced a special Christmas season edition of With Love, Meghan, and a holiday special, With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration, is set to premiere in December.

Meghan Markle also revealed that the second season of her show, With Love, Meghan, will premiere later this month. The series is accompanied by a food and drink range, called As Ever, which includes rose wine and jams.

Bela Bajaria, Netflix's chief content officer, expressed her excitement about the partnership, stating that Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere. She also noted that this new deal is a looser arrangement than their previous one but does not signify a complete separation between the Sussexes and Netflix.

Despite the new deal, it's worth mentioning that the first series of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's shows was not even in the top 300 most popular shows on Netflix in the first half of 2025. The most-watched Netflix program during the same time was Adolescence with 145 million views.

In a statement, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry expressed their gratitude and shared their inspiration for creating content under this new agreement. They expressed their feelings of being inspired by their partners and the Archewell Productions team to create content that resonates globally and celebrates their shared vision.

In conclusion, while the new deal may not be as extensive as their previous one, it's clear that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue to create content that resonates with audiences worldwide on Netflix.

Movies-and-tv shows produced by Archewell, the production company of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, continue to be an integral part of entertainment, with their projects capturing global appeal. Celebrities, including Meghan Markle's cooking series With Love, Meghan, remain popular choices for viewers on Netflix, inspiring audiences everywhere.
