The Federal Police Directorate Hannover has announced the extension of a general decree aimed at ensuring the safety of train passengers and the population. The decree, which was originally set to expire, will now be in effect from Monday, September 1, 2025, at 00:00, until Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 24:00.

The decree applies to several stations within the city of Hamburg, including Hamburg Central Station, Hamburg-Altona, Hamburg-Harburg, Hamburg-Bergedorf, and Hamburg-Dammtor. The validity area of the decree includes all building parts of the Hamburg Central Station (excluding the Moenckeberg tunnel), as detailed sketches provided.

The decree prohibits the carrying of dangerous tools, firearms, imitation firearms, blunt, pointed, and stabbing weapons, as well as knives of all kinds. Violations of these prohibitions may result in a ban from the premises, a station ban, or even denial of transport. Federal Police deployment forces will monitor compliance with the ordinance.

Andreas Meier, Deputy President of the Federal Police Directorate Hannover, stated that the extension is aimed at ensuring the safety of all train passengers and the population. Uncooperative individuals may be subject to a penalty fee.
