Gland (Switzerland) - The enigmatic life of Michael Schumacher: False tales have swarmed since his devastating skiing incident in 2013. Now, the truth is out: A tight-knit trio is the exclusive circle allowed to visit the Formula 1 great.

In a Nutshell

  • Only three individuals can visit Michael Schumacher.
  • Jean Todt and Ross Brawn are two of the privileged few.
  • Gerhard Berger composes the trio, surprising his days as a fierce rival.
  • Schumacher lives secluded on his Swiss estate, devoid of public glare.
  • His helmet safeguarded him after the skiing mishap.

Insights from the Abyss of Enrichment

Schumacher's helmet prevented the catastrophic consequences of his skiing accident on Dec 29, 2013. Yet, since then, he's kept himself hidden from the limelight, residing with his wife Corinna (56) on his Swiss mansion, severed from the outside world.

Five years ago, Elisabetta Gregoraci, ex-wife of his former Benetton team boss Flavio Briatore (75), shared a revealing nugget in an interview. "Only three people come to see him," she confided to the world, not divulging the names[1].

The Identified Trio

The English newspaper "The Telegraph" has unveiled the identities of these fortunate three[1]. It appears Jean Todt (79) and Ross Brawn (70) are indisputably part of the inner circle.

During Schumacher's reign from 2000 to 2004 when he clinched five of his seven World Championships with Ferrari, Todt was team principal, and Brawn was technical director, forming close bonds with the champion driver[1].

A Wild Surprise

The third individual permitted to witness the record-breaking motorsport champion away from his immediate family is none other than Gerhard Berger (65), an unexpected candidate who once relentlessly competed against Schumacher.

From adversaries on the asphalt, they morphed into close friends during their time at Ferrari. Later, when Schumacher moved to the team, Berger stepped into his vacant seat at Benetton[1].

Briatore hasn't seen his world champion driver since the skiing accident, a choice he made consciously. Recently, he revealed to the "Corriere della Sera": "When I close my eyes, I still see him when he's victorious. I choose to recall him that way rather than lying in bed."
